Directive Objective
Section titled “Directive Objective”Protect community members from financial predation, illegal underground casinos, fraudulent high-yield investment programs, and predatory pyramid schemes.
1. Scope and Policy Coverage
Section titled “1. Scope and Policy Coverage”This directive strictly prohibits:
- Unregulated Real-Money Gambling: Operating Discord bots or channels that facilitate real-money wagering, illegal poker rooms, coin-flip betting, or sports betting books without state gaming licenses.
- Crypto / Forex “Doubler” Scams: Promising guaranteed high returns (e.g., “send 0.1 ETH, get 0.5 ETH back within 24 hours”).
- Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) & Pyramid Schemes: Recruiting members into aggressive pyramid structures where revenue relies exclusively on recruitment fees rather than actual retail products.
2. Exclusion Boundaries and Scope Limits
Section titled “2. Exclusion Boundaries and Scope Limits”- Virtual Economy Roleplay: Server bot games (e.g., UnbelievaBoat, Dank Memer) that utilize purely fictitious virtual currency with zero real-world monetary value and no cash-out mechanism.
- Licensed Third-Party Advertising: Advertising certified, legally compliant national lotteries in jurisdictions where permitted by local laws.
3. Moderator Actions
Section titled “3. Moderator Actions”- Shut down channels running real-money gambling pots or unlicensed raffles.
- Ban promoters of Ponzi schemes and warn members against sharing private financial credentials.
