Blackmail Threats, Coercion & Exposure of Private Logs
Directive Objective
Section titled “Directive Objective”Eliminate extortion schemes, blackmail coercion, and the malicious publication of private direct messages or confidential server archives intended to inflict reputational or psychological harm.
1. Scope and Policy Coverage
Section titled “1. Scope and Policy Coverage”This directive regulates:
- Blackmail & Extortion (Chantaje): Threatening to leak private pictures, conversation transcripts, or confidential disclosures unless the victim pays money, buys Nitro, or yields server privileges.
- Malicious Exposure of Private Conversations: Deliberately dumping private one-on-one message logs, personal audio clips, or private video recordings to humiliate, expose, or harm a user’s employment or personal relationships.
2. Exclusion Boundaries and Scope Limits
Section titled “2. Exclusion Boundaries and Scope Limits”- Internal Moderation Evidence: Submitting screenshots of rule violations committed in public channels to staff in private ticket channels as evidence for moderation enforcement is strictly permitted.
- Public Server Transcripts: Legitimate public channel message archives created by recognized moderation logging bots.
3. Moderator Sanctioning Framework
Section titled “3. Moderator Sanctioning Framework”- Extortion and blackmail attempts warrant an immediate permanent ban and immediate account escalation to Discord Trust & Safety.
- Delete leaked private transcripts and remind members that staff tickets are confidential.
