Last updated: Apr 24, 2026View as Markdown

Eliminate extortion schemes, blackmail coercion, and the malicious publication of private direct messages or confidential server archives intended to inflict reputational or psychological harm.

This directive regulates:

  • Blackmail & Extortion (Chantaje): Threatening to leak private pictures, conversation transcripts, or confidential disclosures unless the victim pays money, buys Nitro, or yields server privileges.
  • Malicious Exposure of Private Conversations: Deliberately dumping private one-on-one message logs, personal audio clips, or private video recordings to humiliate, expose, or harm a user’s employment or personal relationships.

  • Internal Moderation Evidence: Submitting screenshots of rule violations committed in public channels to staff in private ticket channels as evidence for moderation enforcement is strictly permitted.
  • Public Server Transcripts: Legitimate public channel message archives created by recognized moderation logging bots.

  • Extortion and blackmail attempts warrant an immediate permanent ban and immediate account escalation to Discord Trust & Safety.
  • Delete leaked private transcripts and remind members that staff tickets are confidential.
