Synthetic Intimate Media & AI-Generated Deepfakes
Directive Objective
Section titled “Directive Objective”Eradicate the creation, solicitation, and dissemination of synthetic sexually explicit imagery and AI-generated deepfakes created without the explicit consent of the real person depicted.
1. Scope and Policy Coverage
Section titled “1. Scope and Policy Coverage”This directive regulates generative AI and digital photo manipulation:
- Non-Consensual Synthetic Nudity: Using diffusion software, deepfake applications, face-swapping algorithms, or “nudification” bots to generate synthetic nudes of community members, classmates, coworkers, or public figures.
- Deepfake Solicitation Services: Offering or advertising bot services, Discord commands, or private DM commissions to create fake nude pictures of target individuals.
- Defamatory Deepfakes: Circulating fabricated sexual videos or images with the intent to defame, harass, or humiliate a person.
2. Exclusion Boundaries and Scope Limits
Section titled “2. Exclusion Boundaries and Scope Limits”- Non-Sexual Memes & Parody: Harmless comedic face swaps, parodies, or satirical image manipulations that contain zero sexual nudity, underwear, or sexually degrading components.
- Consensual Synthetic Fiction: Entirely fictional, non-photorealistic synthetic characters that do not borrow the recognizable likeness or face of any living human being.
3. Moderator Sanctions
Section titled “3. Moderator Sanctions”- Any member deploying or distributing AI deepfake nudes of a community member receives an immediate, non-negotiable permanent ban.
- Bot tokens or webhooks used to automate deepfake rendering must be banned and reported to Discord Developer Trust & Safety.
