Age-Restricted (NSFW) Channel Confinement Guidelines

Directive Objective

Ensure that all consensual adult, erotic, or sexually suggestive material is strictly confined to designated Age-Restricted (NSFW) channels, preventing unintended exposure to minors or unwilling members.

1. Scope and Policy Coverage

Under Discord’s platform policies, adult content must satisfy mandatory containment conditions:

• Mandatory Age-Restricted Gate: Any channel hosting lawful adult pornography, erotic art, or explicit discussions must have the Discord Age-Restricted Channel toggle activated in channel settings.
• Strict Confinement: Adult content must never leak, bleed into, or be cross-posted to general or public server channels.
• Adult Consent: All human subjects depicted in adult content must be verified consenting adults (18+ years of age).

2. Exclusion Boundaries and Scope Limits

• Depictions of Minors: Content depicting, simulating, or suggesting minors in sexual contexts is strictly prohibited across the entire platform, including within age-restricted channels (see Category 1: Child Safety & Protection of Minors).
• Public Spaces: Channel names, topic descriptions, webhooks, and channel icons must remain completely safe for work (SFW).

3. Moderator Checklist

• Verify that every channel intended for adult discussions has the Age-Restricted flag toggled on in channel settings.
• Delete any adult media posted in general channels immediately, issue a warning, and apply a temporary mute.
