Coordinated Raids, Mass Spam & Link Bombing

Last updated: Apr 24, 2026View as Markdown

Protect server availability, readability, and communication integrity against coordinated mass invasions (raids), script flooding, and disruptive spam bombardments.

This directive regulates technical and social sabotage:

  • Coordinated Raids: Invasions organized by external servers, raiding discords, or botnets entering simultaneously to overwhelm channels.
  • Mass Mention Attacks: Abuse of @everyone, @here, or mass role pings to disrupt thousands of members.
  • Corrupted Text & Glitch Characters: Spreading excessive Unicode diacritic marks (Zalgo text) designed to crash Discord client UI renders or freeze mobile devices.
  • Voice Channel Flooding: Joining voice channels with soundboards or mic-spam bots to scream, play ear-rape audio, or disrupt voice sessions.

  • Organic Influx Spikes: Sudden surges in community membership caused by a legitimate streamer, YouTuber, or partner server shouting out the server invite link.
  • Excited Celebration: Benign rapid chat typing during high-energy server events or live gaming milestones without malicious disruptive intent.

  1. Pause Invites: Under Server Settings > Safety Setup, immediately pause all active invites.
  2. Lock Down Public Channels: Switch @everyone permission for Send Messages to False on general channels.
  3. Execute Bulk Purge: Use moderation bots (e.g., Sapphire, Wick) to run /cleanup or /purge on messages sent during the raid window.
  4. Quarantine Raiding Accounts: Apply a Quarantine role or issue bulk bans via bot raid-mode commands.
