Protect community members from real-world exposure, swatting, identity theft, and stalking by strictly penalizing the unauthorized publication of Personally Identifiable Information (PII).

Doxxing includes sharing, linking to, or publishing without unequivocal consent:

  • Full Legal Name (when the user does not operate publicly under it)
  • Residential Address & Geographic Location (street, apartment, GPS coordinates)
  • Place of Employment, School, or University
  • Personal Phone Numbers & Non-Public Email Addresses
  • Government Identification (Social Security, national ID, passport, driver’s license)
  • Financial Details (bank accounts, credit card numbers, billing statements)

  • Voluntarily Linked Profiles: Information that the user has intentionally and openly linked to their Discord profile (e.g., public YouTube channel, public Twitch stream, verified public LinkedIn or portfolio).
  • Public Figures: Legitimate news regarding public political officials or recognized executives in formal reporting contexts.

  1. Delete the PII Instantly: Purge the message containing the doxxing data to prevent third-party scraping.
  2. Immediate Permanent Ban: Ban the responsible account without warning.
  3. Check Audit Logs & Purge History: Ensure the data does not remain visible in public bot mod-logs.
  4. Report Snowflake IDs: Submit a high-priority report to Discord Trust & Safety under Harassment & Privacy Violations.
