title: "Predatory Conduct, Grooming and Minor Coercion"
description: "Identifying patterns of predatory grooming, psychological isolation, boundary pushing, and emotional coercion targeting minors."
---

## Directive Objective
Detect, interrupt, and permanently eradicate predatory behavioral patterns, manipulative grooming tactics, and coercive exploitation directed at minors within the community.

---

## 1. Scope and Policy Coverage
This directive addresses behavioral manipulation patterns that precede or constitute sexual or emotional predation:
- **Relationship Acceleration & Isolation**: Attempting to isolate a minor from their parents, teachers, real-life peers, or server moderators (e.g., *"don't tell anyone about our secret chat"* or *"your parents don't understand you like I do"*).
- **Boundary Testing & Progressive Solicitations**: Escalating requests from innocent conversations to private selfies, personal phone numbers, geographic locations, school information, and eventually intimate pictures.
- **Transactional Bribery & Gifting**: Offering Nitro subscriptions, gaming currency, real money, or gift cards in exchange for private attention, web camera sessions, or confidential photographs.
- **Emotional Blackmail & Coercion**: Threatening to expose confidential chats or self-harm if the minor refuses to comply with private demands.

---

## 2. Exclusion Boundaries and Scope Limits
- **Peer-to-Peer Interpersonal Disputes**: Routine arguments, dramatic falling-outs, or heated debates between adolescent peers of similar age without predatory power imbalances are governed under **Category 3.2 (Targeted Harassment & Interpersonal Conflict)**.
- **General Social Interactions**: Healthy, transparent public conversations between adult community members and minors discussing gaming, hobby topics, or academic interests in monitored channels.

---

## 3. Moderator Response Protocol

1. **Prioritize Minor Safety**: Immediately restrict the suspected predator’s ability to send direct messages or participate in channels.
2. **Preserve Message Evidence**: Note message IDs, user IDs, and timestamps. Unlike CSAM files, contextual text logs of grooming should be compiled into an internal incident report.
3. **Permanent Server Exclusion**: Issue an irreversible server ban.
4. **Platform Escalation**: Submit an emergency report to Discord Trust & Safety under the *Child Endangerment / Predatory Conduct* category.
